Reminds me of such things in the mid to late 90's when a lot of these turned 
out to be "wireless" phone jacks.  Every now and then you'd hear a very wide 
and distorted FM signal.  I don't recall the bandwidth but at times you 
could hear the conversation.  I wonder how many of these are still in use or 
plugged in and idling away?
