Eric,
Way back in ’92 I fried a GFCI outlet with just 100 watts on 17 meters to a
roof-mounted non-resonant dipole. The GFCI brand was “generic,” installed by
the builder. (It was new construction: a single-story flat-roof townhome.) I
replaced the fried outlet with a Leviton and had no more problems.
