Mine have optimizers and are nice and quiet... it is not the technology that
is the problem, it is the implementation of it by some companies!

An option is to not use MPPT panels which have the power delivery optimized
at each panel with an RFI generator. I had two Sunpower installations
(7.5kw & 10kw) on 3 inverters that did the MPPT optimization. Efficiency
was good (USA Sunpower panels were the most efficient at the time) but for
arrays that get partial shading MPPT by panel pays off. Mine were
completely clear to the sky sunrise +1hr to sunset.
I had zero RFI and could hear an AM BCB buzz only when holding the radio a
few inches from the cabinet. I don't recall the inverter brand, pretty sure
it was made in Germany.
With CA sun, PSE punitive tiered rates (above $0.40/kwh), and state rebates,
the ROI was 16%. Then the IRS gave me an unexpected tax credit so ROI went
UP. The installer had the array siting tools and software to size the array
capacity against my prior years usage to pay down the PSE tiering to maximum
ROI. The 10kw never went yearly positive to the grid but the 7.5kw did. So
PSE paid me $0.04/kwh. ha ha ha.
So now I now longer live in CA. (among many other reasons).
