SD V11.04 has been released to fully support both sides of the
Worked All Germany (WAG) contest.

Earlier versions will not work! SD runs on any Windows PC, and
is freeware from www.ei5di.com

The WAG contest takes place from 1500 UTC Saturday 16th October
to 1459 UTC Sunday 17th October. It's a CW-only or Mixed SSB/CW
event on the 5 bands from 80 to 10m. Full rules at
http://www.darc.de/referate/dx/fed.htm - follow the Contests (HF)
link, then WAG, then Rules.

When logging in SD, Enter/Return is the recommended field
terminator for all fields).

SD setup for non-German (DX) entrants.

Select SD Type 4 - General, Area Multipliers.

Multipliers Count : B (by band)
Points CW QSOs : 3
Points SSB QSOs : 3
Pts/Bonus : 0 (multipliers)
Name of .MLT File : WAG
Mode : CW or SSB
Mixed-Mode : Y or N (SSB-only is not an option)

Work German stations only. If you are mixed-mode, SD will
count multipliers once only per band, regardless of mode.
You may work German stations on both modes for points.

Receive RS(T) + DOK (area code), send RS(T) + Serial. SD
automatically tracks the first letter in the DOK as a potential
multiplier. You can have a maximum of 26 multipliers per band
(A-Z).

SD logs, at most, 4 DOK characters. Some stations will send
a longer code, but you will not lose points by recording only
the first four characters - I have confirmed this with DL1DTL,
the contest organiser.

SD setup for German Entrants.

Select SD Type 9 - General, Country Multipliers.
.CTY file : CQWW
Multipliers Count : B (by band)
Points per QSO : 0 (variable)
Pts/Bonus : 0 (multipliers)
Points vary by mode : N
            by band : N
        by location : Y
Points : 1 3 5
(corresponding to own country, own continent,
 other continents)
Mode : CW or SSB
Mixed-Mode : Y or N (SSB-only is not an option)
If Mixed
    Mults count on
            both modes : N
    Work same station
         on both modes : Y

Work everyone, record serials from non-German stations or DOK
(in the serial field) from German stations. SD logs, at most,
4 DOK characters. Some DOKs are longer than this, but you will
not lose points by recording only the first four characters - I
have confirmed this with DL1DTL, the contest organiser.

After the contest, use SDCHECK to create your Cabrillo .LOG file.

Select Option 1 - Cabrillo Log
Contest Name : WAG-CW or WAG-MIXED

Rename the .LOG file to YOURCALL.CBR where YOURCALL is the
callsign you used during the contest, and send it as an
attached file to wag@dxhf.darc.de

Paul EI5DI
