Actually instead of selenium (never noted for making good RF diodes) you
probably want germanium or fast silicon. Though unabused silicon ought
to last a long time so I think for RF detectors they are more likely
germanium such as 1N34A. If silicon switching probably they are 1N914 or
1N4148.
