Eric,
What you have is most likely 60Hz magnetic field problems. Move the Monitor
and the power supply away from each other and see if the effect goes away.
This is a common problem when big magnetic component power supplies are put
near Monitors.
About the only "filter" that would work for the magnetic field effects is to
line the power supply aluminum box with mu-metal foil tape. Much easier to
move things apart rather than have the mu metal get too close to transformer
and act like a shorted turn. Too bad Monitors are not still built in steel
cases!
