The Scout has physical oscillator rather then a synthesized one and you must
physically move the a core through a coil rather then just send a digital signal
to a microprocessor. You don't spin the dial with a PTO. In fact you generally
don't go far from where you are tuned with a PTO because it doesn't want you to
and will quickly tire your wrist if you insist.
