There is one fool proof way to learn to copy CW in your head. It is:
To really want to understand what the person is saying. The topic of the
exchange must be something that is important to you, something you really wish
to hear but not want to write down and read. Where the conversation can go in
any direction, where time is available to do this. To give an extreme example,
suppose you were working somewhere remote and only had CW as a means of
receiving news from your home town, like a news paper. You would probably learn
to copy in your head in a few weeks.
