| My 544 seems to have gone south (tired of all the rain up here I guess).
| Out of the blue, the frequency displayed on 20-10 is around 9000Khz and on
| 80-40 around 1000Khz.  There is a loud chuffing noise at about 5 "puffs"

| second.  I can still receive stations on the selected band underneath the
| chuffing sound.

| Though maybe someone else had been here before, so would really appreciate
| any advice on troubleshooting.  I do have an oscilloscope.  BTW, swapping
| power supplies had no effect.
