On 30 meters, I'm using a Pro Am 30-meter whip up about 7.5
meters on my house. It's grounded using wire to a 7-foot ground
rod in the soil. I'm getting an SWR of 3:1 at 100 watts and
1.6:1 when I use 20 watts. I do not have radials or a
counterpois on it the antenna. Being disabled, it's not easy to
get those installed, so I'm thinking of just getting an antenna
tuner. I'm looking at two models:
The MFJ-945E at $99
and the
Vectronics VC-300M at $99
Which one would you folks recommend?
