Hi Hi. I have rebuilt several TEN-TEC PTOs and always use the old parts,
smashed or not. I do not use any TEN-TEC kit so I don't know what you
get in it but I use a white WESCO tuner lube I have had for 20 years. It
says it is "ELECTRICALLY NEUTRAL" and I have never had a problem with it.
The 544 I just rebuilt was one of the worst I have ever seen. I had a
heck of a time getting the balls out of the shaft because the grease was
so hard.
