Certainly there is ALC on the Omni 6+ and a little green LED near
the bottom of the front panel just below and between the RX and TX
gain controls that indicates when it is functioning. The manual
gives specific instructions on how to use this LED to properly set
your audio drive level. If you have never seen that LED flash
there is something wrong.
