First time ever in the Fox&Hounds on 40m. Omni VI+(u3) is on for five
minutes, then it goes off. Power supply light is off. Turn power switch on
radio to off. Cycle power switch on power supply. No joy.
Feel power supply...cold...as it should be...I was only running a watt.
Check radio's fuse; it's okay.
Reseat the p.s./radio power cable connector; it's okay.
Visions of swapping power supplies with the Omni VI and shipping the VI+'s
p.s. off to TT are passing in front of my eyes when I happen to look over
under the upper shelf and notice I can see the metal blades of the a-c power
plug.
I reseat the power plug, turn on the power supply and radio and joila! I'm
back on the air.
The cause: two 'kittens' (7 and 10 lbs, respectively) who go 'spelunking'
behind the radios and shelf equipment--interestingly, they never do that
UNTIL I sit down at the desk to operate.
