Chuck,
I'd have to agree.  I've had mine for well over 2 years now, and made
contacts with it QRP and QRO (big guns = 50 watts...hi hi).  I get good
signal reports (if you can believe signal reports...but that's another
question), and I seem to make contacts to the same areas of the world my
friends with Corsairs and Omnis (and Yaesus and Icoms, and Kenwoods) make
(most of the time, to the same hams!).  For my money, it sounds a whole lot
better than the Icoms or Yaesus I've used, for a darn sight less pain in the
wallet.  Perhaps the complaints get more press because the rest of the Scout
owners are on the air....hihi.
