[TenTec] OMNI VI t/r problem, clues?

I hope someone has a good answer for this because
a similiar, maybe the the same, thing happened to me last week
except receiving only in USB. Could bearly hear in CW or LSB but s meter 
was working on signals there.
Did partial and full resets--nothing.
Decided to call Ten Tec but their line was busy for about 2 hours.
When I did get through, It was working FINE!!
Paul had no suggestions except send it in.
Any one out there have any?
