Very good point. I just did a quick spec comparison; using
the numbers at the TT web site for the two rcrs.

The Omni VI+ has 13 dB lower noise floor at 20 kHz out from
the carrier (well, if I read the specs correctly, hi).

However, the 3rd order IP of the 340 is bit better(5 dB), but the
dynamic range of the Omni appears better?

And it would seem that the sensitivity of the Omni is superior.

Have I compared these correctly?? Of course, I have never
seen nor operated a 340, nor have I read a comprensive
review by anyone of the 340 nor comparison with the OmniVI+.

Seems the really big features of the 340 are the DSP IF and
great frequency range over which the specs hold.

BTW, I find the Omni VI+ NR button (the DSP "on" button) to
be about the greatest thing to come along for CW, hi.
