I called TT service today to see what they'd add to answers I've
received on how to add or remote the RIT function on my Omni-6+

The I got is answer is that, yes, it can be done. The suggestion is to
remote the on-off switch and RIT knob, which is a rotary encoder,
separately from the 301's encoder. Sounds like it may be possible,
especially if there's room on the rig's
DB-25 for the bias and encoder signals. My guess is to get a larger
box and use a small(er) knob for the RIT. Havong the on/oof/clear
switch and encoder as one component would be very cool. Don't know if
such a beast (encoder and switch) exists, though.

Of course, I can't find my copy of the rig's schematic to find the
spots to tap in to!

Thanks to all for the variou ssuggestions, and especially K4AAL for his
response which prompted me to call TT!
