[TenTec] Pegasus Speech Processor

Does anyone know if the Speech Processor is active or useful in AM or FM =
modes on the Pegasus? The Speech Processor was added after my version of =
the manual was printed, so it is not mentioned at all. It's also not =
mentioned in the Programmer's Reference Guide.
