I've got an 10' run of parallel sections of RG-62 between my (genuinely balanced) tuner and the wall where it meets up with 600 ohm open line. Obviously, it's a compromise, but most of us have to make such concessions. The performance is better than when I had 300 ohm ladder line running from the feedpoint all the way to my old tuner, which had the traditional lossy 4:1 balun at its output.
