Suprisingly, I have seen no problems using either the Pegasus or RX320 Line
Out directly to my sound card Line In with just the supplied cable (or one
similar) - i.e. with no isolation. There is no evidence of hum, which is
pretty easy to spot on a waterfall display. I don't konw if TenTec did
anything special with these line out jacks, but they work well.

In fact, it seems strange to me, but the audio out available on the ACCY
jack of the Pegasus is at a higher level and requires attenuation to be used
with my sound card or I have to run with the input level on the soundcard at
minimum (i.e. one notch above zero). On the Pegasus schematic, there are
separate op amps for the two audio outputs.
