Hey, lets be fair.....I did not state..."ALL contesters"... :-) :-)
After all, the majority of hams today are
"appliance operators," regardless of particular operating
preferences. These are the facts... without any
comment pro or con.
And surely top contesters already know more than I do...
about SO2R and other operating techniques. But that was
not the subject.
And contesting is an important part of our hobby. It makes
for fantastic, super operators, the best!.......no question about it!
.........even if a lot of pure contesters do not cross
the line and engage in improving other aspects of operating,
such as traffic handling, (ie: SS contest preamble, etc) and
public service. (no comment pro or con)
BUT, this thread was originally about huge promotional
budgets and the inevitable results of massive advertising,
which TT is not a part of....
