Does anyone have experience with the programable AGC on the RX-340 (it had
it before the Orion <g>).

According to the manual (p. 4-7) the decay can be set between 0.01 and 99.99
dB / second. On the page 5-9 (in the computer control section), the preset
values for FAST, MED and SLOW AGC are listed. The decay for FAST is listed
as 1200 dB / second. Does this mean that you can't set the programmable AGC
to the same value that FAST AGC uses, or is there a misprint?

Also, it appears that the AGC scheme used in the RX340 is different from
that in the Orion. The RX340 uses Attack, Decay and Hang; while the Orion
uses Hang, Decay and Threshold. Any comments on the different schemes?

Mark
