I just couldn't stay on the sidelines with the latest news about a new Yaesu
FT2000D. It seems that with the number of IC-7800's supposedly already sold,
and now with Yaesu joining the fray, the market for a high end radio is being
proven. Let's face it, Men & their toys =$$$. A Harley will sell for $25,000+
and people buy them.
When I suggested that TenTec should start designing an "Omega" to compete,
people said there needs to be a market proven for it. Well it sems we have it.
With Doug Smith gone, Hopefully they still have the engineering expertise
left to design and build a "Harris commercial Grade" equivalent to stay in the
new high end game. 73.
