Guys,

Does anyone here have any experienced with vertical phased arrays? In
particular, I would be interested in the equilateral triangle configuration.
Per Capt Paul H Lee, two vertical elements with a spacing of 210 degrees and
with equal, in-phase currents have a figure-8 pattern with a gain of 5.2 dB.
(I think his reference antenna for 0 dB is a single vertical element of the
same height, but I would have to do some additional work to check that.)
Three vertical antennas can be used, two at a time, to provide coverage and
gain over a 360 degree pattern.

Jim, W8KGI
