If everything is working correctly, your processor gain control should be at
least at 9:00 O'clock and upwards from there till the ALC light is coming on
during peaks only. Use your dummy load to talk it up, or if you use a peak
reading watt meter. If you are using an average reading wattmeter look for a
10 watt deflection for full output power on SSB. Listen if you can on a
seperate recvr to monitor your audio while on the dummy load. If you thought
you should get more (higher) output on an average reading meter, it's not
the case. You can easily overdrive the O6's audio looking for max deflection
on an average reading wattmeter.
I presume this is your problem because of what you didnt include as info on
your message.
CW guys make this mistake frequently, but since you are clearly not a
newbie, I thought your not mentioning the type of wattmeter used, as
critical. Hang in there, the O6 is a great SB rig too.
