The technical issues of proper lightning grounds are very well covered
on the Polyphaser web site at:

Although I didn't see it listed, Polyphaser did, at one time, offer an
excellent book on the subject of grounding methods.  The cost was
minimal, around $20.  Several independent vendors may still carry the
book.
