Wow, is this true about Ten-Tec cutting off firmware updates after a period
of time? If that is indeed the case, it certainly detracts from the "value"
of the impression that these radios are never really out of date. Say it
isn't so! While I understand that Ten-Tec is a business to make money and
that endless updates would have to be supported somehow (maybe a
subscription or a "pay-per-update" after a certain period of time). But to
cut off a radio that is able to take firmware update seems counterproductive
for the radio owner. Any thoughts on this?
