there is NO need at all for any interface for digital modes with the Orion.
Ten Tec supplies a cable for that very purpose with the radio. plug the
cable into the sound card and go! if you need instructions they are in the
Orion manual. WD7SL, my nephew uses that mode for PSK31. i operate CW. all
one needs after plugging the cable into the sound card jacks is software. we
both use MixW. there are any number of other digital mode software packages,
free and at minimal cost. in the case of CW one needs an electronic switch
made from Radio Shack parts (instructions and schematic in MixW help files)
that cost about $10. jack AK7O
