The settings I use in DX4WIN that work are:
TenTec Orion rig selection,
Address 00 (default checked)
Baud rate 57600 (default checked)
Notes with radio: without RIT
COM port (COM1 in my case)
Poll rate: 500 ms
Max Tries: 6
DTR High (checked)
RTS High (checked)
Now, if all of these are set, are you able to make DX4WIN and the Orion
communicate at all, or does it immediately go to "rig timed out?" The
only time I get a "rig timed out" is if I send a command to the radio (or
am in the middle of logging a new one) and turn the radio off. (Or try
to send a command to the radio with it turned off.)
