I MAY BE MISTAKEN,  MY MOTOROLA REPEATER BASE STATION FEEDS LESS THEN 
.6 WATT TO THE FINAL AMP SECTION..
FOR 24X7 100WATTS..CONTINUOUS DUTY,,,.

AT LEAST MY K2 100 WATT POWER AMP FEEDS DATA BACK TO THE K2 ABOUT 
WHAT'S GOING ON INSIDE.....( & OUTSIDE)  POWER , SWR, HEAT  ETC)
