The caps might work OK.  

Another alternative is to try the Lutron dimmers, available at Home
Depot and Lowe's.  We built a new house last year and have probably 50
of those things all over the place.  I was scared to death about noise.
However, once we moved in my Orion hears no noise from the dimmers.

The dimmer package has a message to the effect that they incorporate RF
filtering.  As far as I am concerned the claim is valid.
