What's likely happened is that when you pulled the external speaker plug out
of the jack, the connection on the jack did not return to its normal
function.
You could plug and unplug the external speaker to see if it will return to
normal, otherwise you'll need to open the case and examine the jack. There's
probably nothing wrong with your Jupe's speaker.


I turned on the Jupiter and found the
