try rolling your own with some 14 gauge copperweld and some homebrew spreaders, the wider the space the better, I saw a set where the guy ran a pair about 3 fee apart supported on posts with pvc T's about every 30 feet for a run of near 3000 feet to his tower, he ran a balun from coax from the shack and on the far end ran a balun back to coax for up the tower, looked like 2 cattle fences side by side with the bottom wires missing, he said it worked great.. tom N6AJR |
