Well Larry I can't answer your question directly but I can give a
little info that might help. In about 1982 I used my Ten-Tec 580
Delta on 20m SSB for field day. I used a new 12V 72AH battery and
got about 18 hours out if it before the voltage got under 11V. I
did have to turn the power down to about 75 watts around the 10
hour mark but it ran great. It's likely  that CW won't run aslong
at SSB as it a higher duty cycle. BTW  that was my best showing
on 20M SSB ever with about 750 contacts, as I remember. I think
that you might be better off with a deep discharge battery but if
you have the car battery use it.
