Ok, so you go out and trade in your fabulous 2003 Dodge Viper, that makes
your heart race just looking at it, on a 2006 Viper. You take it to a
track, and discover that it tops out at 87.6 mph. And the 0-60 time is now
9 seconds.

You contact Dodge, and they tell you that since they changed the programming
of the car's computer in 2006 it will no longer go any faster than that, no
matter what the literature says. They just didn't want to bother changing
the speedometer to be a bit more realistic. And besides, you can get to the
mall just fine with a car that won't go any faster than 87.6 mph, and
usually you just drive at around 70 mph anyway, and you can't use that much
accelleration on a normal street.

Would you go home and just say "I really don't understand the fuss"?
Really?
