[TenTec] corsair scratchy audio

was tuned into 500w dry load out put on external avg watt meter was aprox 50 
watts did tune a short wave rec to same freq and tried different drive settings 
processor produces some level of hum amp draw on power sup aprox 18amp. did a 
small test with field strength meter in shack with a known working ft 901 dm 
@100 watts barly moved the needle sorry have no keyer to test cw note will have 
to make one out of a door bell button or such live on east coast propagation 
wont get me out vertical to cal.please keep sugestions coming Jim kb1nni
