Alan,

Ive been using an AGM type deep cycle battery. I first bought one of these
with a rating of 100AH and found that it was having trouble keeping up with
any use more than light duty. I moved up to a 230AH AGM battery (130lbs.)
and have been delighted with it for 2 years now. These batteries are
available from any of several sources, I bought a used battery in good condx
for cheap. I use a Schumacher computer smart speed charge ~$25 from Walmart.
It is an automatic charger designed with sensing for AGM type sealed
batteries. I use a 0-200 milliamp meter to monitor battery state.
AGM=Advanced Glass Mat
