Steve, thanks a lot for the info, another gent just replied he
solved most of his by soldering the shield cans to ground on
the BPF board. So will try that also.
This radio had been sitting on a shelf unused for a long time
and the salt air had pitted the panel and cabinet, the man was
going to throw it away, so I brought it home and replaced the
panel and cabinet etc, it works well so far but for the birdies,
Yes they null out with the passband tuning or the notch filter,
but an aggravation, used to using a FT-1000D and wanted to
try TT before jumping into an Orion to replace the 1000.
See how this goes, the service was good and parts were
cheap compared to Yaesu prices.
