Yes but based upon others comments (I think) it's a pain. I suggest having
TenTec do the job. I only used it once and it worked great. I've been
successful in getting good matches to my antennas and haven't had need to
use it.
I use the Heil PR-40 and consider it the best mic I've ever used.
No the optional fan is not necessary but when I ordered mine I thought the
additional expense minimal. I'm glad I had it included in my purchase.
All in all, I'm very satisfied with the OII. Know you will enjoy it.
