 I would not call it chirp. I do not hear a change in frequency across the cw 
dot or dash. I do not like the sound of what I hear. It does not have a clear 
musical sound that I would like to hear. Also, I would like the keying to be a 
bit sharper, that is, I would like the leading edge to rise a bit faster.
Of course you want to like what you hear. At this point, since you don't like it, I think you should be looking for a way to find out what it really is doing. If you have determined there is not a frequency change, then there must be something about the shape of the amplitude envelope that is not right. I think you should find an oscilloscope and look at the envelope. Then if changes you make to the rig improve what you hear, you'll be able to tell us what the difference is.
