That would be a good mod since it's so hard to see the little pointer
against the black background.
BTW...I put the LED replacement pilot lights in and they works, but not all
that well. The meter now looks green instead of yellow (not very bright,
either), and there's not enough light to see the pointer without looking
really carefully. I may be able to fix that by putting a piece of white
cardboard behind the pointer so it shows up better.

Sounds like a great mod Ron. Another really cool mod I saw on a 238
was replacing the tuning dial with a turns counter. I haven't seen
that one documented though. One of these days I might get together
with the skillful local ham who did it and document it.
