The last few days there has been some chatter concerning the bazooka antenna. I
myself have used this type of antenna now for several years and am quite
pleased. One major drawback is that separate feed lines must be used for each
antenna for each band worked. They are extremely broad banded and quite quiet.
I have used LMR240 for my 75m antenna and have pushed over 1.5kw into it
working the nets on days of bad conditions. I have tried RG213 for my 20m
antenna just to see IF there was a difference. I have used RG58C/U on a 40m
antenna with great results. This antenna is worth taking a look at. The 20m
version will cover the entire band with less than 1.2:1 swr results.

The antennas I have made have been constructed totally out of coax and I have
not used the 300 ohm ends as suggested by some and I have still received great
results. I do not own a tuner and have no need for one with great antennas.
