Sorry for the off-topic post, but...

Seems a Kenwood TS-480SAT followed me home from the Breezeshooter's Hamfest yesterday. (I've been going to that hamfest almost every year going back 28
years, and up until yesterday, never won so much as a book of matches!)

Anyone who's had or used the radio, I'd be interested in hearing your
thoughts and comments on it -- direct to me at w3wn at arrl dot net, please,
not on the reflector. (I know it's not an Omni VII, which I would dearly
love to have, but it could've been worse... the Breezeshooter's used to
offer ICOM exclusively for their prizes for many years!)

I'm especially interested from users in hearing if the optional CW and SSB
narrow filters are worth the price of admission, and about any success (or
failure) with computer control of the radio.

Thanks!

73, ron w3wn

...and not to worry, the Corsair II remains the #2 station, pending shack
reconstruction (and only because I acquired it after the #1 rig, I use them both!). But sometime in the near future, I'm going to have a well-used, in
good condition, TS-140S up for sale!
