I've had the noise level come up from that. Listen on AM for 120 Hz
modulation of the noise level. Listen higher in frequency for better
location. 2m AM is a lot better for locating than 600m AM because the
VHF noise doesn't propagate down the wires from pole to pole but 600 m
AM may propagate for miles making location difficult.
