OK.  I do thank you.  A number of years ago I removed a cover from another
radio and somehow managed to remove two extra screws which turned out to be
the speaker mounting which caused the speaker to come loose, fall onto the
circuit board and wreak a few things.  Ever since then I've been a little
cautious.

There are 12 torque screws you have to remove from the back.  All these are 
along the edge of the cover on the back of the radio.  Then each cover has 4

large side screws to remove.  That's it.
