The trial of the rig with another known good power supply or battery is a
first step.
If that works, you know the problem is in the 262G.
Don't over look wire and connector problems.
Someone mentioned the power transistor failing, and only the driver
transistor in a regulator working until the load is applied. That is
certainly a consideration.
Something may have failed in the power supply to cause an RF effect causing
shutdown, although this is less likely, if you are testing with coax to a
dummy load that is shielded.
Things like loose connections bad solder joints and other conditions that
could affect normal current flow under load must be eliminated along the
way.
