Contrary to Roger's experience, I use a Astron SS-30M with no problems and
no RF generated noise that I can detect or measure. The supply is no more
than 6" from the radio, the power cables are about 18" long being made of
#12 AWG. I did add a ground terminal to the back of the supply assuring
that I had a good clean chassis connection and connected to the minus
terminal inside the supply. I then ran a separate ground between the supply
ground and the radio ground. As always, 3rd pin ground is in place.
