Air movement is the problem.... the heat is blowing away. Use a box to shield the work from the wind. If the flame of a match or candle isn't going straight up, you'll have a hard time soldering...

Well it's that time again that is Antenna time . I was out side yesterday
in 60 degree temp and had a very diffucult time soldering on some
connectors . Does anyone on the reflector have any tricks for soldering
outside both my irons were not hot enough .  Does anyone make a special
slodering tool for such a job ?  thanks John kb2huk
