IMO, Ten Tec's customer support policies and reputation were built by
founder Al Kahn, K4FW, who, with Lou Burroughs, had founded Electro-
Voice in the early 30s. EV's support was always golden when he ran it,
and I'd bet that Al was responsible for establishing that same
tradition in Sevierville. I worked for Bob Drake when I was in
college, and he was a class act, but I'd bet that the policies of
Drake, Collins, and others had NOTHING to do with how Al ran his
business. It's just the way he did things.
