I heard a ham the other night on 40 meter SSB. He was running a Collins
S-Line with the Collins amp. It was the best audio I have heard recently,
it was clear as a bell. I also own an Orion II and a faithful Century 21.
Bells and Whistles. Soon a transceiver/PC that works DX contests while you
watch TV and drink a cold one. Just program it to send RS 5X9 and that will
take care of most of the qso.

Yes, and the KWM-2 that I bought in 1962 for $1150 works out to $8313
today, nearly twice the price of my Orion II. It obviously has none of
those
modern bells and whistles, but the good news is that it still works!
